Call for Symposia and Workshops
We hereby invite proposals for symposia and workshops.
Symposia proposals should include [Symposium form]:
(1) title of symposium
(2) symposium organizer and contact details
(3) a two to five sentence rationale for the symposium’s topic
(4) names, contact information, and presentation topics of presenting speakers (please also include one or two alternative speakers)
Before submitting the proposal, organizers are strongly encouraged to contact potential participants and receive at least tentative commitments from them to attend. Symposia typically include six presentations in 15 minute slots (12 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions).
Workshop proposals should include [Workshop form]:
(1) title of workshop
(2) workshop organizer and contact details
(3) rationale for the workshop’s topic (two to five sentences)
(4) short description of target audience
(5) requested length of workshop
(6) anticipated format, requested resources (e.g., projection equipment, large table), and whether posters are planned for the Workshop.
Workshop and symposium presenters and organizers are expected to pay registration fees and travel expenses; no financial assistance will be provided. We encourage symposium and workshop organisers to seek external funds to support participants’ expenses.
