​What we do:

• Capacity building and student development: Long-term mentoring of MSc and PhD students across Africa and Asia, helping develop internationally recognised scientists and conservation leaders.
   

• Biodiversity discovery and taxonomy: Integrative taxonomic research that has contributed to the description of 25 mammal species new to science, including 19 since 2000.
   

• Biodiversity assessment and monitoring: Developing practical approaches that combine field surveys, citizen science and emerging technologies to assess biodiversity in data-poor regions.
   

• Community-led conservation: Working with local communities, governments and conservation organisations to translate biodiversity science into lasting conservation outcomes.
